Rumors have been flying around that Selena Gomez has been gossiping about Kylie Jenner following a Golden Globes encounter that went viral between Gomez, Taylor Swift and Keleigh Sperry.
The trio were seated together at the awards ceremony and appeared to be talking about a lot of different topics, including Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner shortly after Swift was the subject of a joke by Jo Koy, the host.
One video showed Sperry mouthing, “With Timothee?” to the group, seemingly referencing the Wonka actor and his latest girlfriend, who is related to Kim Kardashian, whilst Swift sat open-mouthed in surprise at whatever was said.
One fan suspected that the “Come and Get It” singer was denied by Jenner when she asked for a moment with Chalamet as they interpreted Gomez’s words via lip-reading as, “I asked for a picture with him, and [Kylie] said no”, although this was later contested by a professional lip-reader.
However, Chalamet, when asked by a TMZ reporter if things were cool between Gomez and Jenner, played it down and said, “Yeah, of course.”
Another source, close to Gomez, denied that she was talking about the per and that she “never saw” nor spoke to them and especially, “never went up to them and asked for a photo.”
Gomez and Jenner’s feud appears to be centered around an unlikely person, Justin Bieber. Jenner is close to Hailey Bieber, who is married to him, whilst Gomez previously dated the singer.
So, when Gomez believed she laminated her eyebrows too much and posted that on social media, it seemed too coincidental to be true for fans when Jenner and Hailey later posted their eyebrows online.
Fans interpreted the post, captioned, “this was an accident ?????”, to be a dig at the former Wizards of Waverly Place actress only for them both to deny that.
“This is reaching,” Jenner said on TikTok. “No shade towards Selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts! u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”
Gomez added, “Agreed @kyliejenner. It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”
