In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Beyoncé explained the inspiration that made her decide to make a country music album, with a cowboy style.
“One of my inspirations comes from the outcast history of America’s black cowboys.
Many of them were originally called cattlemen, who experienced great discrimination and were often forced to work with the worst, most ill-tempered horses.
Later, the horse races of these black people surprised the performing artists. We are inspired by the culture and equestrian style here,” said the female singer.
Beyoncé said she also faced a lot of judgment when she first entered this genre. This forced her to overcome her own limits.
Also in her announcement, Beyoncé mentioned the singles 16 Carriages and Texas Hold ‘Em, the pair of singles that set her new records.
