This Christmas, the Liverpool star posted a black and white photo of a sparkling pine tree, along with a call to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.

However, Salah’s actions faced heavy criticism. Simply because Salah is a Muslim, and Christmas is a holiday for Christians.
“It’s confusing Salah, you’re a Muslim, not a Christian. Our Christmas starts in April,” a fan wrote. “Disappointing, Salah is from the Muslim world”, another fan expressed.
However, there are still people who support Salah and think that this is a very normal cultural interaction in an equal and civilized world. Furthermore, Salah’s actions carry a message of peace, calling for the abandonment of war.
