The Golden State Warriors must reorganize and figure out how to hold onto several of its finest core players now that Klay Thompson is gone.
The general manager of the Warriors, Mike Dunleavy Jr., recently discussed plans for player extensions with the media. Steph Curry, a franchise legend, is one of those players.
“That person is able to get anything he wants.Dunleavy told ESPN’s Kendra Andrews, “I think that stuff will get figured out and he’ll be a Warrior for life.”
Additionally, Dunleavy stated that he wants to extend contracts with shooting guard Moses Moody and forward Jonathan Kuminga.
To be fair to all the other great shooters out there, Curry is possibly the greatest shooter of all time.
The four-time NBA champion and ten-time All-Star owns a number of NBA records, including the greatest free-throw percentage (91.0%) (minimum 1,200 tries), the most three-pointers made in a season (402), and the most three-pointers made in a season (3,747).
He has played with the Warriors for his entire 15-year career and is among the greatest players to have ever lived.
Based on Dunleavy’s remarks, it appears that Curry and the organization are in agreement, and an extension may occur in the future.
With some playing time remaining, the 36-year-old point guard probably wants to wrap up his illustrious career in the Bay Area.
