Brandon Ingram, Rajon Rondo, and Chris Paul must pay the price after leaving ugly images during the Houston Rockets match against the Los Angeles Lakers on October 21. Accordingly, the organizing committee issued a fine. Brandon Ingram, the person who initiated the incident, was banned from playing for 4 matches. Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul were suspended for three and two games respectively.
“Ingram was punished for pushing James Harden in the back, causing tension. Then this athlete also threw a punch when the two sides clashed,” the organizers clearly explained the penalty. “Rondo was fined for provocatively touching, spitting and punching Chris Paul. Paul was also fined for poking Rondo in the face and punching him multiple times”. Among those who broke up the fight were LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, two veteran superstars and close friends of Chris Paul.
The fight happened when the match had 4 minutes left to end, the two teams were only one point behind each other. Houston Rockets won the final match with a score of 124-115.
Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers is superstar LeBron James’ first match at the Lakers’ home stadium Staples Center.
