At EURO 2024, there are “talented young” players, and there are also players who are equally famous but do not perform as expected by fans.
When EURO 2024 just ended, Spanish sports site Marca released a squad of 11 worst players in this tournament.

Goalkeeper and defender : Dominik Livakovic (Croatia national team), Giovanni Di Lorenzo and Gianluca Mancini (Italian national team), Andres Christensen (Denmark national team), Oleksandr Zinchenko (Ukrainian national team).
Livakovic is one of the best goalkeepers at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Unfortunately, at EURO 2024, he cannot maintain the same form. The Croatian team conceded 6 goals after only 3 group stage matches and they did not make it to the knockout round.
The duo Di Lorenzo and Mancini were considered completely unable to reach the reputation of the Italian defense.

Midfielders : John McGinn (Scotland national team), Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Serbian national team), Dominik Szoboszlai (Hungarian national team).
Two stars playing in the Premier League, McGinn and Szboszlai, are both in the worst squad after they did not leave any mark in EURO 2024.

Ronaldo is considered one of the most disappointing players at EURO 2024. The reason is probably that he, even at the age of 39, has set very high standards for himself and when he does not reach those standards , he is very susceptible to “speech and gossip”. Lukaku was a bit unlucky as he put the ball into the opponent’s net a few times but the goal was not recognized. It’s ironic that in every major tournament, Lukaku was expected to be a candidate for the Golden Shoe title, but then he didn’t win any title.
