The mine explosion-proof telephone is one of the first Polish models of special-purpose devices and was used for communication in methane mines and other rooms with a high degree of explosion hazard. In accordance with the Polish standards of the time, it provided protection against an external electrical short circuit causing an arc discharge and protection against the penetration of foreign bodies, dust, vapors and moisture. From the front, a two-section, massive cast-iron body, closed with two cast-iron covers. In the upper part there is a metal bell cover. The phone is equipped with a receiver – a bakelite handset in khaki color and a listening handset. The phone has four mounting brackets, a metal inlet flange, a rating plate. The phone is not commercially available. The phone refers to the industrial or loft style. Perfect for a bar, pub, museum, collector or your own idea. Performance has not been tested. { includes telephone wire and all components inside + electronics)

The phone is in a nice industrial condition, (see photo) shows traces of time such as abrasions, rust, cracked paint, typical for an item of a bygone era.
