The bizarre statistic that highlights LeBron James’ longevity: he’s faced 35% of the players in NBA history

LeBron James continues to accumulate games, points and statistics to confirm his eternal status. The Los Angeles Lakers forward has just turned 39 and is in his 21st season as a professional, which has allowed him to face a multitude of rivals.

The fact appeared during the broadcast of the game against the Dallas Mavericks: he has faced 35% of the players in the history of the NBA.

According to Basketball Reference, the total number of players LeBron has faced is no less than 1,668. Andre Iguodala, with 70 games, has been the opponent he has faced the most times.

The Lakers star has played against a handful of father-son pairs, and he himself could get to play with or against his son Bronny next year.

He is, right now, the oldest player in the NBA, he is even older than some current coaches.

Curiosities that go beyond statistics, which have already reserved him a place in the NBA record books, of which he is the all-time leading scorer.
