After parting ways with coach Frank Vogel because of unsatisfactory results due to the Minnesota Timberwolves being eliminated with a total score of 0-4 in round 1 of the NBA Playoffs, the Phoenix Suns quickly found themselves a new captain.
Accordingly, the name chosen is coach Mike Budenholzer, who led the Milwaukee Bucks to win the 2021 tournament and twice received the title of Best Strategist of the Year (Coach of The Year).
Commenting on his new job at the Phoenix Suns, coach Mike Budenholzer expressed: ” I am very honored to become the new coach of the Phoenix Suns. This is a team that I have been very excited to follow recently.
I’m excited that I’ll be working with a roster full of talent who play great basketball. I hope I can combine them in the best way towards the goal of competing for the championship.”
Meanwhile, in another development, the NBA Organizing Committee will conduct a draw (Draft Lottery) to divide the rankings of teams for the upcoming NBA Draft ceremony.
According to the published list, the two teams at the bottom of the Eastern table, Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards, have the highest odds (both 14%) to win First Pick this year, followed by the Charlotte Hornets (13.3%). Portland Trail Blazers (13.2%), San Antonio Spurs (10.5%) and Atlanta Hawks (9%).
