Stephen Curry and Chris Paul were named to a preliminary 41-man player pool for the 2024 Olympics, Team USA announced on Tuesday. The pool features 23 players who have won an Olympic or World Cup gold medal, including both Warriors guards.
Curry won gold in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups. He started all nine games in 2014, averaging 10.7 points per game and shooting 43.8 percent from behind the arc. Paul won gold in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic games, averaging 8.1 points on 50.0 percent shooting from the field and 40.5 percent from three across both runs.
The final roster representing the United States in Paris this summer will feature 12 players and be coached by Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr.
