After Harry Kane left, Son Heung Min was pushed inside by coach Ange Postecoglou to play as a center forward. This move has helped the Korean striker shine brightly with 8 goals in the past 10 Premier League matches. Mr. Postecoglou also made comparisons between Son’s position and Cristiano Ronaldo’s at the end of his career.
Postecoglou said: “I don’t want to make similar comparisons. But you saw it at Man Utd, with Cristiano Ronaldo”.
“He started out as a winger, but I always felt with Son, he’s a great finisher, his movement is excellent and I think he’s intelligent enough to play plug”.
Afterwards, Postecoglou affirmed: “That was the idea I had in mind and it worked”.
Son’s top form recently has helped Tottenham fly high on the rankings. Up to now, the Rooster and Arsenal are the two remaining teams in the Premier League this season that have not yet tasted defeat.
