Pampachiri Stone Forest and Smurf Houses in the Andahuaylas Province in southern Peru.

These mysterious rock formations that originate from three million years ago are products of the volcanic material expelled by nearby volcanoes Qarwarasu and Sotaya, and over centuries wind and rain have done their job to produce these curious rocks.

The structures are between 6-8m high and often show large smooth cone and fungus shape. Only about 1000 people live in Pampachiri village, some of them using these cone shaped structures carved out for housing.
