The madness of March never disappoints.
While your favorite men’s and women’s college teams are probably eliminated, every NBA team is still playing, jockeying for playoff positioning, a postseason berth or its draft order.
But there have been issues in The Association. Complaints about the officiating have escalated, there’s a gambling investigation and teams are averaging about four fewer points per game than before mid-February. Will that change when the playoffs begin in April? We shall see.

In the meantime, catch a glimpse of some of March’s NBA action right here in this month’s photo gallery, which contains extra photos courtesy of Anthony Edwards and Jalen Johnson.
As always, thanks for viewing. Enjoy!
This scrum for the ball involves Buddy Hield and Paul Reed of the 76ers and Precious Achiuwa (I think) of the Knicks in New York.
Nikola Jokić of the Nuggets discards Kristaps Porziņģis of the Celtics on a drive to the basket in Denver. The Nuggets won both games against the Celtics this season despite Boston having the best record in the NBA.
D’Angelo Russell (left), Spencer Dinwiddie and Jaxson Hayes of the Lakers celebrate a thrilling 123-122 win over the Bucks in Los Angeles. Dinwiddie blocked Damian Lillard’s shot with 3 seconds left to preserve the victory for the Lakers.
Jalen Green of the Rockets takes off for a slam as Anfernee Simons of the Trail Blazers attempts to defend in Portland, Ore.
Stephen Curry of the Warriors and Jakob Poeltl and Gary Trent Jr. of the Raptors all tumble to the court while pursuing a loose ball in Toronto.
Zion Williamson of the Pelicans hollers after scoring and getting fouled against the Clippers in New Orleans.
It’s been that kind of a season for the Hawks and Hornets. Bruno Fernando of the Hawks hits the deck after being fouled by Grant Williams of the Hornets in Atlanta.
The Spurs have Devin Booker of the Suns surrounded and trapped, but the four-time All-Star still sneaks a pass through to a teammate in San Antonio.
Is this the dunk of the season? Anthony Edwards of the Timberwolves soars over John Collins of the Jazz for a slam in Salt Lake City. It’s so outstanding that here’s another photo of it from a different angle:
Unfortunately for Jalen Johnson of the Hawks, his magnificent dunk over Austin Reaves of the Lakers in Los Angeles occurred on the same night as Edwards’ tremendous play. And it’s deserving of another shot from a different angle:
Kyrie Irving of the Mavericks releases a running, left-handed 20-footer over Nikola Jokić of the Nuggets. The shot dropped through the net at the buzzer to lift the Mavs to a 107-105 victory in Dallas.
Kelly Oubre Jr. of the 76ers is amused during a minor scuffle with Donte DiVincenzo of the Knicks in New York.
Get that shot outta here! Rudy Gobert of the Timberwolves rejects an attempt by Jabari Walker of the Trail Blazers in Minneapolis.
After getting the ball stolen, Damian Lillard of the Bucks tries to return the favor to Moses Moody of the Warriors in San Francisco.
MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Thunder sees an opening as Royce O’Neale of the Suns defends in Phoenix.
Daniel Gafford of the Mavericks excels at dunking and blocking shots as Jamal Murray of the Nuggets discovers on this drive in Dallas.
LeBron James, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, knows how to finish. James flushes this dunk and gets whacked in the face by Alex Len of the Kings in Los Angeles.
De’Andre Hunter of the Hawks meets Daniel Theis of the Clippers at the apex of Theis’ shot attempt in Los Angeles.
Is that Jaylen Brown of the Celtics using his left hand? It is, against James Wiseman of the Pistons in Boston.
Naz Reid of the Timberwolves does his best Superman impression as he and Ivica Zubac of the Clippers pursue a loose ball in Los Angeles.
Lakers fans are ecstatic after D’Angelo Russell makes a 3-pointer against the Thunder in Los Angeles.
There’s a lot to unpack here. Luka Dončić of the Mavericks appears to be tipping over while Buddy Hield of the 76ers and referee Justin Van Duyne are already past that point in Dallas.
Parting shot
Jarrett Allen of the Cavaliers and De’Andre Hunter of the Hawks (and their shadows) battle for a rebound in Atlanta.
