The San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers Divisional Round matchup brought a surprising development for NFL and NBA fans alike.
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis was spotted in the pregame on the field sporting a Packers jersey, which raised some eyebrows among viewers.
But some might remember that Davis has explained his Packers fandom in the past. Davis was present at Lambeau Field during Green Bay’s 2020 playoffs game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Despite being born in Chicago, Davis was not much of a football fan growing up. Once he got to the NBA, he essentially got peer-pressured into choosing a favorite NFL team.
Since he had friends on the Packers, he picked them. That won’t appease Bears fans, seeing as the teams are rivals, but they’ll have to live to argue another day.
