The Arab League is about to change its strategy, making Europe worried, but Ronaldo will benefit

Since Ronaldo arrived at Al Nasr, Arab football has exploded in popularity, becoming the favorite destination of many stars in Europe. A series of “tough” faces have followed in CR7’s footsteps to go to the Saudi League to play football. Benzema, Kante or Mahrez are typical examples.

However, the Saudi League’s ambitions do not stop there. According to the Daily Mail, the Saudi League organizing committee plans to increase the number of foreign soldiers for the tournament’s teams, specifically from 8 to 10 people. This new strategy will be approved before the 2024 summer transfer window.

Arab football wants to continue to create breakthroughs in the transfer window

The Saudi League organizers set an additional condition: 2 foreign players from each team must be born in 2003 or younger. Recruiting young stars is gradually no longer a trend for teams in the Saudi League, instead they are turning to bright young stars in Europe and South America.

This will help the Saudi League develop more sustainably. Stars like Ronaldo or Kante are at a high level, but they only help elevate the tournament for a short time.

In fact, the Saudi League has recognized a young star coming to the tournament recently, which is Gabriel Veiga. This “morning star” refused to go to Napoli to play football, instead choosing to play for Al Ahli.

European football is certainly affected by this new strategy of the Saudi League. Many young players in Europe will be attracted by money in Arabia, thereby giving up the opportunity to develop their career in the old continent.

During the 2023 summer transfer window, Saudi League teams spent more than 700 million pounds to recruit players. This shows that money is not a problem for Arab football. Many top leagues in Europe cannot even compare with the Saudi League in terms of spending in the transfer market.

Ronaldo must be very happy to know that the Saudi League has such an “expansion” plan. CR7 always wants the Saudi League to attract more stars, thereby helping the tournament increase its competitiveness. In addition, Ronaldo is expected to have more quality satellites around to support him at Al Nassr.
