After the Chicago Bulls beat the Philadelphia 76ers, Bulls guard Alex Caruso was asked to talk about Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James, who is still one of the best players in the NBA despite being the oldest player in the league.
Caruso and LeBron were teammates on the Lakers for three seasons. They won the 2020 championship together over the Miami Heat at the Walt Disney World bubble.
Caruso and the Bulls host LeBron and the Lakers tomorrow at the United Center. Chicago is 11-17 on the season, while Los Angeles is 15-12.
Alex Caruso speaks to the longevity of LeBron James as the Bulls prepare to face the Lakers this week: “I have to put it in perspective… We see it from him year after year after year after year. You can get blinded by the greatness he puts up.” pic.twitter.com/ip1ZJXBPI0

The Lakers are interested in acquiring Caruso from the Bulls, but Chicago doesn’t plan to trade Caruso, one of the best defenders in the NBA. Los Angeles has also been linked to Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.
LeBron is averaging 25.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists this season while shooting 53.9% from the field, 39.3% from beyond the arc and 71.5% from the free-throw line. The four-time MVP and four-time Finals MVP is 12th in the NBA in total points, 15th in points per game, seventh in total assists, eighth in assists per game and eighth in player efficiency rating.
It’s incredible how elite LeBron is playing. He turns 39 on December 30 but is still putting up superstar numbers. NBA fans need to appreciate what they are watching because we may never see another player like LeBron again.
The Lakers need to beat the Bulls to get back in the win column, as they are only 1-3 over their last four games. Caruso and his teammates will look to hand LeBron and Co. their third loss in a row.
