NBA 2023/24 has only been over a month. However, this looks like it will continue to be a disappointing season for the Detroit Pistons.

After the summer of 2023, the Detroit Pistons have another potential player, Ausar Thompson. With other young players like Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart, Pistons fans have a basis to expect a new cycle of success for the team.
However, the start of the Detroit Pistons’ season is a nightmare. They have a record of 2 wins – 23 losses, the worst in the entire NBA, and a series of 22 consecutive defeats up to now. They are also the only team without a single victory throughout last November.
Coach Monty Williams is not inexperienced, as he led the Phoenix Suns’ youth team to success, as well as the title “Best Coach of 2022”. However, the Detroit Pistons have yet to find any positive signs in their own losing streak.
The Detroit Pistons’ achievements have put them in the group of teams with the most consecutive losses in NBA history. However, they need to change that soon, if they do not want to prolong the series of disappointing achievements mentioned above.

The record for the longest consecutive losing streak in the NBA belongs to the Philadelphia 76ers, when they lost 28 consecutive matches spanning from the 2014/15 to 2015/16 season.
More surprisingly, the second longest losing streak in a season also belongs to the Philadelphia 76ers, with a record of 26 consecutive defeats in the 2014/15 season alone. The Cleveland Cavaliers also had a similar losing streak in the 2010/11 season, when LeBron James left the team to join the Miami Heat.
