The Denver Nuggets picked up a key late-season, 116-107, victory on Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves that catapulted the defending NBA champions into the No. 1 seed in the West, but it was Christian Braun’s highlight-reel dunk over Rudy Gobert that stole the show

Braun, who made several key plays in the closing stretch of the game, saved his best dunk for last over the favorite for Defensive Player of the Year. With 3:24 to play, Braun went sprinting up the left wing and elevated with the ball in his right hand. When he saw that Gobert was in good defensive position, Braun switched hands mid-air and dunked it home over the Timberwolves star with his left hand.
The dunk sent the Denver crowd into a frenzy.

Braun finished with eight points and five rebounds, and played a key role on both ends of the floor in the fourth quarter. Nikola Jokic scored 41 for Denver in the victory that moved the Nuggets into the top-seed in the Western Conference.
