Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. continues to prove that he is following in his father’s footsteps after his latest goal for the Al Nassr academy team.
The official team account on X.com, formerly Twitter, drew comparisons between one of Cristiano Ronaldo‘s recent goals and his son’s header. The son of the forward bore striking similarity to his parent’s trademark style.
Throughout his career, Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is renowned for having one of the best jumps in soccer, after a stunning leap that made CR7 one of the biggest aerial threats in the world, and now his son is showing promising signs in that department.
Video footage shows Ronaldo Jr. hovering in the air during a corner kick to make good on his effort and nod the ball into the bottom corner of the goal whilst in another video, his father is seen scoring a similar header for Al Nassr, and you can see the two goals are almost identical.
Both are then mobbed by their celebrating teammates, while Ronaldo Sr. also performs his famous “siuuu” celebration after scoring.
The latest comparison comes after CR7 was previously filmed demonstrating his freekick technique to his son. On that occasion, the teenager sent the ball into the net a freekick during an individual training session with his father, before CR7 went one better with an even nicer goal.
Just 13 years old, the youngster has the desire to become a professional footballer like his father and continues his development within the Saudi Arabian team’s youth team after the Portuguese legend relocated there.
Ronaldo Jr. previously played for academy teams at Manchester United and Juventus, and his father’s move to Al Nassr in 2022 prompted him to make another club switch.
Ronaldo Jr. was at a match last week, for another of the teams his father has played for, although this time he was a spectator. He was there to watch Real Madrid when they defeated Barcelona 4-1 in the Spanish Super Cup final on Arabian soil.
